Meet Alice Gavigan and Saoirse Cameron-Higgs, our two new balletLORENT apprentices from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD).

Alice and Saoirse have joined the company for the 2025–26 season as part of their MA in Contemporary Dance Performance and will be with us until summer 2027.

Each year, apprentice dancers join balletLORENT through this postgraduate programme, gaining valuable professional experience by working alongside the company for a full year.

Alice and Saoirse will make their stage debuts with balletLORENT in our premiere of Hansel & Gretel and the Witch at Northern Stage this autumn, before going on tour with the production in spring 2027. They will also appear in Best Worst Dances this December at our home, the John Marley Centre.
