balletLORENT Welcomes New Apprentice Jordaine Lincoln

Wednesday August 1st 2018Share page

We're very happy to welcome new apprentice, Jordaine Lincoln to the company.

Jordaine has relocated to Newcastle from Hull and trained at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance

During her time at Rambert School, Jordaine was a guest artist with Rambert Company and toured Itzik Galili's A Linha Curva across the UK on their autumn and spring tour (2017/2018). She has also taken part in projects with Mark Baldwin and Sister Grimm and was involved in a choreography project with Russel Maliphant. Jordaine has performed live on the BBC as part of a project with Julie Cunningham and has also performed works by Richard Alston, Ashley Page, Dan Wagner and Arielle Smith.

In partnership with London Contemporary Dance School’s Postgraduate Progamme, we host 1-2 apprentice dancers each year. Apprentices are integrated fully into each production, and receive a structured training and mentorship programme with regular feedback on their development.

balletLORENT is proud to have supported the training and development of many young dance artists through the apprenticeship scheme over many years. Former apprentices have gone on to lead highly successful freelance careers as dancers, teachers and choreographers in the North East and across the UK, with several continuing into performance work with balletLORENT.
