We want to say a huge thank you to our amazing Community Cast for their time, energy, and creativity in bringing Best Worst Dances to life. Your contribution was a vital part of making the previews such a success and perfectly reflects our mission to make dance accessible to everyone, regardless of age or background. Whether through workshops in community centres and schools or performing on stage, balletLORENT aims to inspire and engage through dance—and our Community Cast embodies that spirit.
One cast member shared their experience:
"Thanks doesn't seem enough for the opportunity to be involved with Best Worst Dances. From being introduced to balletLORENT seven years ago, to dancing on Saturday night, it’s been an amazing journey of body and mind. Dancing alongside the BL team and other community members has inspired me, grown my confidence, and reminded me that you’re never too old to have a go. Moving and dancing is one of my happy places, and this experience has brought so much joy and energy into my life."
The work of our Community Cast is at the heart of why we do what we do. Seeing people of all ages and backgrounds come together to explore, create, and perform demonstrates the power of dance to build confidence, spark creativity, and bring communities together. It’s this connection, growth, and shared joy that makes the work so worthwhile—and why we are so proud of everyone involved.
