We were delighted to be part of the opening season at Sadler’s Wells East with a double bill that showcased two very different interpretations of Snow White: our family production Snow White, and the 16+ version Snow White: The Sacrifice. We had just short of 2,000 in to see the run of shows in London, and were thrilled by the phenomenal response from both audiences and critics.
Liv Lorent, our Artistic Director, reflected: “It’s a real privilege to be part of this landmark opening season. Sadler’s Wells East represents a bold commitment to creative risk and new voices — and we’re proud that our work could help set the tone for what this space can be.”
Both productions were met with wide acclaim, each celebrated for their bold vision and emotional impact.
Snow White: The Sacrifice
★★★★☆ – Ballet Position
Our hard-hitting, adult reinterpretation of the classic fairy tale struck a deep chord with reviewers. Ballet Position described it as “a visceral, hard-hitting, strictly for grown-ups treatment of the famous fairy tale” and added, “a complex production... at times had me on the edge of my seat.”
The Spy in the Stalls applauded its daring nature, saying it “pushes the boundaries of what is possible.”
But perhaps most poignantly, The Guardian remarked:
“Weirdly relatable... the horror story of a once beautiful woman seeing her currency crash.”

★★★★☆ – The Times | ★★★★☆ – Everything Theatre
Our family-friendly version also received glowing praise. Everything Theatre called it “a majestic, spellbinding update of the Grimm classic for the poisonous beauty standards of the social media age,” and noted “a sumptuous score... in perfect tandem with the evocative choreography.”
The Times described it simply but powerfully: “An absorbing show for all ages…”
We’re proud to have contributed to the first season at Sadler’s Wells East — a space that promises to be a vital platform for bold and distinctive storytelling.
