Premiered: Federation Brewery, Gateshead. Toured: Theatre Royal, Newcastle with Northern Sinfonia playing live (as part of Northern:Electric Festival), Newbiggin Sports & Community Centre and Ballroom Blitz, Royal Festival Hall, London.
A large scale cross-generational community dance project that brought Liv to the North East.

Great North Star celebrated the spirit of the North of England, as exemplified by the world’s greatest half marathon (Great North Run), and takes inspiration from the centenary of the Representation of the People Act (1918), which granted some women the right to vote for the first time.
